CASE # <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> REQUEST FOR VACATION OF EASEMENT <br />IN THE PROPOSED PLAT OF BROOKFIELD FIRST ADDITION; <br /> CASE OF OAKWOOD LAND DEVELOPMENT <br /> By: Amy Geisler, Associate Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As part of tonight's agenda, the City Council is reviewing the proposed final plat of Brookfield <br />First Addition. There are underlying road and drainage and utility easements on the property that <br />will need to be vacated. The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Exhibit of underlying easements to be vacated <br />Proposed Ordinances <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />In accordance with State Statute, City Staff attempted to notify property owners within 350 feet <br />of the subject property of the public hearing to vacate easements. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The plat of Brookfield eliminates the need for Marble Street N.W. and 167t~ Avenue N.W., <br />adjacent to Lot 1, Block 1, Westby First Addition. The plat of Brookfield also replats Lot 1, <br />Block 1, Westby First Addition and eliminates the need for the standard drainage and utility <br />easements along the property Iines of that lot. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends introduction of the ordinance to vacate the road and drainage and utility <br />easements adjacent to and within Lot 1, Block 1, Westby First Addition. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to introduce Ordinance #06-XX to vacate the drainage and utility easements on Lot I, <br />Block 1, Westby First Addition. <br /> <br />Moti'on to introduce Ordinance #06-XX to vacate 167tn Avenue N.W. and Marble Street N.W. as <br />recorded in the plat of Westby First Addition. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Asst.
