The Human Resources Manager of Assistant City Administrator will <br />forward the recommendation of the evaluation panel to the City Council. <br />The recommendation will contain a copy of the applicant's letter of <br />interest and the evaluation panel's rationale for the recommendation. <br /> <br />Except where a vacancy unexpectedly occurs in the middle of a calendar <br />year, all new appointments or reappointments to regular terms on a City <br />board or commission will occur in January of the year. This is to allow <br />the current members of the City Council the opportunity to review and <br />select individuals for seats on boards and commissions.. <br /> <br /> d. Notification to applicants <br /> <br /> After the City Council has acted on the recommendation of the evaluation panel, <br /> the Human Resources Manager of Assistant City Administrator will notify all <br /> applicants of the results of the process/ \ - -~'~ <br /> <br />4. Term limits <br /> <br /> be no te~ limits for board ~d commission members. <br /> <br />5. Reappli~ation process ~ <br /> <br /> a) Letter of intent <br /> <br />Members of City boards and commissions who wish to serve a consecutive term <br />of office must notify the City Council of their intent at least two months before <br />the expiration of the current term of office. To remind the incumbent of the <br />impending deadline, the Human Resources Manager or Assistant City <br />Administrator will notify commission members three months in advance of the <br />expiration of their terms and invite them to complete and submit an application <br /> <br />~ Ordinance #97-10 amended City Code 2.03.02 changing terms of office for boards and commissions from <br />two years to four years and establishing a limitation of two consecutive four-year terms, effective August <br />11, 1997.
