McDilda noted that EPTF should have a represemative at the June 5 Plmming Commission <br />public hearing regarding the draft tree preservation ordinance. Ms. Dvorak stated that the EPTF <br />member should sit at tine Board table with the Planning Commissioners so it is obvious that the <br />I-~;P'I'I-,' is a resource avhilable to answer questions. Mr. McDilda and Mr. Max stated that they <br />would be present at the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Max stated that the EPTF should draft a list of anticipated "frequently asked questions" <br />about tine tree ordinance. Copies of those questions and answers could be available at the June 5 <br />public hearing so the commissioners and people in the audience have a preview of what the <br />ordinance is about. This list of questions and answers should also be posted on the website with <br />tim draft ertl in]ncc and lac]ring notice. <br /> <br />Task Force applicant, Nathan Eklund, vohmteered to look at the ordinance and draft a list of <br />ClUCstions that thc public might ask about the contents of the ordinance. Mr. McDilda stated that <br />lac woulcl work with Mr. Eklund on this list of questions and answers. <br /> <br />Case #3 <br /> <br />New Member Protocol <br /> <br />Ms. l'"rolik was asked to clneck what the proper procedure is to have sorneone appointed to the <br />EPT1~'. <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda said lhat he would be contacting Mr. Reeve to determine whether he is able to <br />continue Io serve on tine '?ask Force. <br /> <br />Case #4 <br /> <br />Next' Topic/Su m mcr Break? <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda stated that he presmned the next topic to be reviewed by this Task Force is <br />wetlands, but tlnc Task Force needs to know its disposition from City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Max recalled tlmt lne is interested in presenting the results of a survey he did of Minneapolis <br />trees and ho is interested in seeing the results of Mr. Biske's survey of Ramsey land cover. Mr. <br />Mci)lid] directed Mr. Max to arrange such a meeting with Mr. Biske, perhaps for the June 19 <br />EPTI;' meeting. The Park Commission should be invited to attend and it should be held at Fire <br />Station '#1. <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda stated that iF City Council assigns another topic to the Task Force, he would like to <br />take a breal< ()vel' the summer before commencing the next task. <br /> <br />Ms. Sitz stated that finis Task Force should be advocating the City for special attention to water <br />sources and imp]el on acquifers, especially with respect to the new Town Center. <br /> <br />Mr. Max noted lhal water sources and acquifers are regional and addressing these issues needs to <br />be a collaborative effort with other agencies and jurisdictions. <br /> <br /> <br />
