Case #1: Review Information From April 5 Guest Speaker Session <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda suggested that the Task Force work on Case #2 takes precedence and this <br />discussion should be tabled. <br /> <br />Case #2: Draft Purpose Statement For Ramsey Wetland Buffer Ordinance <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda, Mr. Olds and Mr. Bacon provided copies of their text assignments for the draft <br />wetland buffer ordinance. <br /> <br />Ms. Strommen noted that Ms. Sitz indicated that she cannot be present and requested that she be <br />provided copies of everybody else's draft test. <br /> <br />The Committee proceeded to review Mr. McDilda's text and the list of items numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, <br />5, and 6 were reordered as follows: 2, 5, 1, 3, 4, and 6. <br /> <br />Mr. Bacon reviewed his thought process in drafting his text regarding the relationship between <br />health and wetland protection. The Committee decided that Bruce's draft text should be <br />displayed and distributed in the EPTF booth at the Environmental Expo. The handout should be <br />a lead in to solicit input from residents and try to get some feedback on the website also. <br /> <br />Ms. Connolly stopped by at 7:05 and provided copies of her text assignment. The committee <br />members amended Ms. Connolly's draft text as follows: 4th sentence should read "The City of <br />Ramsey recognizes that wetland degradation results in sedimentation and nutrient loading." 5th <br />sentence should read: "Therefore, the City of Ramsey is committed to prevent related <br />degradation and adapt preservation, restoration and environmental policies that protect these <br />resources for its citizens." <br /> <br />Mr. Olds reviewed his text assignment. The intro to the 2nd sentence of the last paragraph should <br />include the following phrase: "If the impact on the wetland cannot be absolutely avoided ........ ". <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda directed that each person should make the appropriate changes to their text and <br />email their assignments to Ms. Frolik. Ms. Sitz should email her text to Ms. Frolik as well. Ms. <br />Frolik will merge all of the components into one document and email the document back to all <br />Committee members. The EPTF agenda for May 17 will include review of the draft purpose <br />statement for the wetland buffer ordinance. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discuss Preparations For The Environmental Expo <br /> <br />Ms. Connolly suggested the following as options for the EPTF booth at the Expo: <br /> <br />Examples of tree damage <br />Seed cards <br />Tree planting guidelines <br />Ramsey Tree Book <br /> <br />EPTF April 19, 2004 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
