1 J <br />City of Ramsey J <br />Recommendation for Notice of Award <br />Water Treatment Plant Project <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />is for a Substantial Completion date of May 1, 2025 and a Final Completion date <br />of August 1, 2025 <br />Bid Alternate No. 1 <br />Net deduct from the Base Bid to extend the Substantial Completion <br />date to September 1, 2025 and Final Completion date to December 1, 2025. <br />The attached Bid Tabulation presents a comparison of the accepted bids to the Engineer's Opinion <br />of Total Probable Cost for the project which was $37,000,000. Bids were received from three (3) <br />contractors: Magney Construction, Inc. from Chanhassen, MN, Rice Lake Construction Group from <br />Deerwood, MN, and Gridor Construction, Inc. from Buffalo, MN. <br />All three (3) of the General Contractors that submitted bids are qualified to complete the work. <br />Each bid submitted included a Bid Alternate No. 1 deduction to their Base Bid price. Based on a <br />review of the bids received and pending City official's acceptance of the contract price, Advanced <br />Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. (AE2S) recommends that the City of Ramsey award <br />the Base Bid construction contract to Magney Construction, Inc. of Chanhassen, MN and reject <br />the Bid Alternate No. 1. Magney Construction, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible <br />bidder for a total construction cost of $31,528,500. <br />AE2S truly appreciates the opportunity to continue working with you on this very important <br />project for the City of Ramsey.
