HF100 NINTH ENGROSSMENT REVISOR BD 110100-9 <br />52.1 written findings that the office must mail to the license holder. An action of the office under <br />52.2 this paragraph is subject to judicial review pursuant to chapter 14. <br />52.3 Subd. 3. Temporary suspension. The office may temporarily, without hearing, suspend <br />52.4 the license and operating privilege of any business licensed under this chapter for up to 90 <br />52.5 days if continuing the operation of the business would threaten the health or safetv of anv <br />52.6 person. The office may extend the period for an additional 90 days if the office notified the <br />52.E business that the office intends to revoke or not renew a license and the hearing required <br />52.8 under subdivision 2 has not taken place. <br />52.9 Sec. 22. [342.221 RETAILERS; LOCAL REGISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT. <br />52.10 Subdivision 1. Registration required. Before making retail sales to customers or patients, <br />52.11 a cannabis microbusiness with a retail operations endorsement, cannabis mezzobusiness <br />52.12 with a retail operations endorsement, cannabis retailer, medical cannabis retailer, or <br />52.13 lower -potency hemp edible retailer must register with the local unit of government in which <br />52.14 the retail establishment is located. <br />52.15 Subd. 2. Registration fee. (a) A local unit of government may impose an initial retail <br />52.16 registration fee of up to half the amount of the applicable initial license fee under section <br />52.17 342.11. The local unit of government may also impose a renewal retail registration fee of <br />52.18 up to half the amount of the applicable renewal license fee under section 342.11. The initial <br />52.19 license fee shall include the fee for initial registration and the first annual renewal. Any <br />52.2o renewal fee imposed by the local unit of government shall be charged at the time of the <br />52.21 second renewal and each subsequent annual renewal thereafter. <br />52.22 (b) The local unit of government may not charge an application fee. <br />52.23 (c) A cannabis business with a cannabis retailer license and a medical cannabis retailer <br />52.24 license for the same location may only be charged a single registration fee. <br />52.25 (d) Registration fees are nonrefundable. <br />52.26 Subd. 3. Issuance of registration. (a) A local unit of government shall issue a retail <br />52.27 registration to a cannabis microbusiness with a retail operations endorsement, cannabis <br />52.28 mezzobusiness with a retail operations endorsement, cannabis retailer, medical cannabis <br />52.29 retailer, or lower -potency hemp edible retailer that: <br />52.30 (1) has a valid license issued by the office; <br />52.31 (2) has paid the registration fee or renewal fee pursuant to subdivision 2; <br />Article 1 Sec. 22. 52 <br />
