HF100 NINTH ENGROSSMENT REVISOR BD 1-10100-9 <br />54.1 the requirements of this chapter or that the operation of the business poses an immediate <br />54.2 threat to the health or safety of the public, the local unit of government may suspend the <br />54.3 retail registration of the cannabis business or hemp business. The local unit of government <br />54.4 must immediately notify the office of the suspension and shall include a description of the <br />54.5 grounds for the suspension. <br />54.6 (b) The office shall review the retail registration suspension and may order reinstatement <br />54.7 of the retail registration or take any action described in section 342.19 or 342.21. <br />54.8 (c) The retail registration suspension must be for up to 30 days unless the office suspends <br />54.9 the license and oneratinil brivileae of the cannabis business or hemD business for a longer <br />54.10 period or revokes the license. <br />54.11 (d) The local unit of government may reinstate the retail registration if the local unit of <br />54.12 government determines that anv violation has been cured. The local unit of government <br />54.13 must reinstate the retail registration if the office orders reinstatement. <br />54.14 (e) No cannabis microbusiness with a retail operations endorsement, cannabis <br />54.15 mezzobusiness with a retail operations endorsement, cannabis retailer, medical cannabis <br />54.16 retailer, or lower -potency hemp edible retailer may make any sale to a customer or patient <br />54.17 without a valid retail registration. A local unit of government may impose a civil penalty <br />54.18 of up to $2,000 for each violation of this paragraph. <br />54.19 Sec. 23. [342.23] CANNABIS BUSINESSES AND HEMP BUSINESSES; GENERAL <br />54.20 OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS. <br />54.21 Subdivision 1. Records. (a) Cannabis businesses and hemp businesses must retain <br />54.22 financial records for the current and brevious tax vears at the brimary business location and <br />54.23 must make those records available for inspection by the office at anv time during regular <br />54.24 business hours. <br />54.25 (b) When applicable, a cannabis business or hemp business must maintain financial <br />54.26 records for the previous ten tax years and must make those records available for inspection <br />54.27 within one business day of receiving a request for insDection by the office. <br />54.28 (c) The office may require a cannabis business or he business to submit to an audit <br />54.29 of its business records. The office may select or approve the auditor and the cannabis business <br />54.30 or he business must provide the auditor with access to all business records. The cost of <br />54.31 the audit must be Daid by the cannabis business or hemb business. <br />54.32 Subd. 2. Disposal; loss documentation.
