This section is effective January 1, 2024, and applies to crimes 180.19 committed on or after that date. 180.20 Sec. 12. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 152.022, subdivision 2, is amended to read: 180.21 Subd. 2. Possession crimes. (a) A person is guilty of controlled substance crime in the 180.22 second degree if: 180.23 (1) the person unlawfully possesses one or more mixtures of a total weight of 25 grams 180.24 or more containing cocaine or methamphetamine; 180.25 (2) the person unlawfully possesses one or more mixtures of a total weight of ten grams 180.26 or more containing cocaine or methamphetamine and: 180.27 (i) the person or an accomplice possesses on their person or within immediate reach, or 180.28 uses, whether by brandishing, displaying, threatening with, or otherwise employing, a 180.29 firearm; or 180.30 (ii) the offense involves three aggravating factors; Article 4 Sec. 12. 180
