<br />253.1 reporting the use of medical cannabis flower and medical cannabinoid products and shall
<br />253.2 specifically authorize a person 21 years of age or older from refraining from reporting the
<br />253.3 use of adult -use cannabis flower, adult -use cannabis products, lower -potency hemp edibles,
<br />253.4 or hemp -derived consumer products.
<br />253.5 Sec. 56. [624.7152] LAWFUL CANNABIS USERS.
<br />253.6 (a) A person may not be denied the right to purchase, own, possess, or carry a firearm
<br />253.7 solely on the basis that the person is a patient in the registry program.
<br />253.8 (b) A person may not be denied the right to purchase, own, possess, or carry a firearm
<br />253.9 solely on the basis that the person is 21 years of age or older and uses adult -use cannabis
<br />253.10 flower, adult -use cannabis products, lower -potency hemp edibles, or hemp -derived consumer
<br />253.11 products.
<br />253.12 (c) A state or local agency may not access a database containing the identities of patients
<br />253.13 in the registry program to obtain information for the purpose of approving or disapproving
<br />253.14 a person from purchasing, owning, possessing, or carrying a firearm.
<br />253.15 (d) A state or local agency may not use information gathered from a database containing
<br />253.16 the identities of patients in the registry program to obtain information for the purpose of
<br />253.17 approving or disapproving a person from purchasing, owning, possessing, or carrying a
<br />253.18 firearm.
<br />253.19 (e) A state or local agency may not inquire about a person's status as a patient in the
<br />253.2o registry program for the purpose of approving or disapproving the person from purchasing,
<br />253.21 owning, possessing, or carrying a firearm.
<br />253.22 (f) A state or local agency may not inquire about the use of adult -use cannabis flower,
<br />253.23 adult -use cannabis products, lower -potency hemp edibles, or hemp -derived consumer
<br />253.24 products by a person 21 years of age or older for the purpose of approving or disapproving
<br />253.25 the person from purchasing, owning, possessing, or carrying a firearm.
<br />253.26 Sec. 57. REPEALER.
<br />253.27 (a) Minnesota Statutes 2022, sections 152.22, subdivisions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5a, 5b, 6, 7, 8,
<br />253.28 9, 101 111 12, 13, and 14; 152.23; 152.24; 152.25, subdivisions 1, la, lb, 1c, 2, 3, and 4;
<br />253.29 152.26; 152.261; 152.27, subdivisions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7; 152.28, subdivisions 1, 2, and
<br />253.3o 3; 152.29, subdivisions 1, 2, 3, 3a, and 4; 152.30; 152.31; 152.32, subdivisions 1, 2, and 3;
<br />253.31 152.33, subdivisions 1, la, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6; 152.34; 152.35; 152.36, subdivisions 1, la, 2,
<br />253.32 3, 4, and 5; and 152.37, are repealed.
