<br />287.2 $844,000 in fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028. The base in fiscal year 2029 and thereafter

<br />287.4 Subd. 5. Department of Commerce. $63,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $230,000 in fiscal
<br />287.5 year 2025 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of commerce for the
<br />287.6 purposes of this act. The base for this appropriation is $452,000 in fiscal year 2026 and
<br />287.7 $626,000 in fiscal year 2027.
<br />287.8 Subd. 6. Department of Corrections. An appropriation to the commissioner of
<br />287.9 corrections for correctional institutions is reduced by $177,000 in fiscal year 2024 and
<br />287.10 $345,000 in fiscal year 2025. The base for this appropriation is reduced by $407,000 in
<br />287.11 fiscal year 2026 and $458,000 in fiscal year 2027.
<br />287.12 Subd. 7. Department of Education. $36,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $29,000 in fiscal
<br />287.13 year 2025 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of education for the
<br />287.14 purposes of this act.
<br />287.15 Subd. 8. Department of Employment and Economic Development. (a) $10,400,000
<br />287.16 in fiscal year 2024 and $6,700,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the general
<br />287.17 fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for the CanStartup,
<br />287.18 CanNavigate, and CanTrain programs. Any unencumbered balances remaining in the first
<br />287.19 vear do not cancel but are available for the second vear.
<br />287.20 (b) Of the amount appropriated under paragraph (a), $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 and
<br />287.21 $2,619,000 in fiscal year 2025 are for the CanStartup program.
<br />287.22 (c) Of the amount appropriated under paragraph (a), $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 and
<br />287.23 $1, 8 84,000 in fiscal year 2025 are for the CanNavigate program.
<br />287.24 (d) Of the amount appropriated under paragraph (a), $4,400,000 in fiscal year 2024 and
<br />287.25 $2,197,000 in fiscal year 2025 are for the CanTrain program.
<br />287.26 (e) Of these amounts, up to four percent may be used for administrative expenses.
<br />287.27 Subd. 9. Department of Health. (a) $6,235,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $6,231,000 in
<br />287.28 fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of health for
<br />287.29 the purposes of this act. The base for this appropriation is $9,077,000 in fiscal year 2026
<br />287.3o and $9,132,000 in fiscal year 2027.
<br />287.31 (b) Of the amount appropriated under paragraph (a), $1,674,000 in fiscal year 2024 and
<br />287.32 $1,674,000 in fiscal year 2025 are for education for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding,
<br />287.33 or who may become pregnant. Of this amount, $1,000,000 each year is for media campaign
