Bluff _I <br />Bluff impact zone means a bluff and land located within 20 feet from the top of a bluff. <br />Bluff impact zone. A bluff and land located within 20 feet of the bluff. More than one bluffline may be encountered proceeding <br />landward from the river. See Figures 1 and 2. <br />Bluff line means: <br />(1) A line along the top of a slope connecting the points at which the slope of land becomes more <br />than 12 percent. This applies to those slopes within the land use district which are beyond the <br />setback provisions from the ordinary high water level; or <br />(2) The line which generally follows the riverbank where the slope changes from steep (more <br />than 12 percent) to less than 12 percent). <br />Bluff, toe of. A line along the bottom of a bluff, requiring field verification, such that the slope above the <br />line exceeds 18 percent and the slope below the line is 18 percent or less, measured over a <br />horizontal distance of 25 feet. See Figures 1 and 2. <br />Bluff, top of. A line along the top of a bluff, requiring field verification, such that the slope below the line <br />exceeds 18 percent and the slope above the line is 18 percent or less, measured over a horizontal <br />distance of 25 feet. See Figures 1 and 2. <br />Boathouse means a structure designed or used solely for the storage of boats or boating equipment. <br />Page 6 of 147 <br />
