COUNTY OFANOKA
C.E.T.A.
Comln ,henxirc Eml~Ioymvn! and TraininS. Ccmer
7150 EAST RIVER ROAD, FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA 55432 · 612/571-8500

October 31, 1980

Lloyd Schnelle
City of Ramesey
15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.
Anoka, MN 55303

Dear Lloyd:

Beginning October 1, 1980, Anoka County C.E.T.A. Center plans to occasionally
outstation Public Service Employment participants, who will be enrolled in %he
program for six months or less. The term "outstation't refers to the placement'
of P.S.E. participants at worksites other than Anoka-County C.E.T.A. while re-
taining the participants on the Anoka County C.E.T.A. payroll. Outstationed
participants would, therefore, remain Anoka County C.E.T.A. employees, but
would be supervised and have work assigned by staff at the worksite.

We expect that outstationed P.S.E. participants will be concurrently enrolled
(10-20 hours per week) in G.E.D., Adult Basic Education or English-As-A-Second
Language classes. As a result, they will be available for work only 20 - 30
hours per week, but will receive wages for both work and training activities.

Due to the expect~d-skiql level of the-P.S.E, participants and the short-term
of their employment, we are seeking entry-level, part-time, temporary positions
which require minimal skills. If you have a need to fill such a position, and
meet the maintenance of effort and outstationing requirements which are attach-
ed, please complete the enclosed Temporary P,S.E. Jo~ Description and return
it to me at the address shown above.

If we identify an adult client who has a need for your position, you will be
given an opportunity to interview the client and determine if you want to se-
lect him/her for your worksite. Once placed on a worksite, P.S.E. clients
will be monitored regularly by their C.E.T.A. vocational Counselor in order
to. assure that they are attaining the goals of their Employability Development
Plan and are meeting the standards of your worksite.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 571-85O0. Your
participation in this program may benefit both your agency and our C.E.T.A.
clients.

Sincerely,

Kathleen M. Trudeau
Contracts Compliance Officer

kq':dh
Enc.
Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
