Note: Council members have raised the question about pay <br />raises for Council members. There was money provided in the <br />1981 budget for it. However, the new law requires Council <br />members to do it prior to election. Council members have men- <br />tioned that their pay should be used to cover mileage, etc. <br />This is not a very good approach to reimbursing Council mem- <br />bers for their costs to cover official functions. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to review and act on the <br />above proposed salaries for 1981. <br /> <br />e) Recognition For Doing a Good Job: The following City <br />Employees have done an outstanding job in performing their <br />duties for the City: <br /> <br />Report <br />I have <br />ployee <br />as she <br /> <br />Moen - Jeanne has been mentioned in the Audit <br />for the past two years for doing a good job. <br />commented on different occasions that this em- <br />is envaluable to the City in her field of work <br />does an outstanding job. <br /> <br />Sheila Beyer - Sheila has been reported on this year by <br />our City Attorney as doing a fantastic job in preparing <br />our bond resolutions on our bond projects which has <br />saved the City probably several thousand dollars on <br />each of our big bond issues. However, above and beyond <br />this, Sheila does an outstanding job in all her other <br />duties which some of them way exceed her job responsibility. <br /> <br /> 3) ~rlene Stafford - Arlene has been delegated the job of <br /> handling the total elections task here in the City and <br /> she has done an outstanding job in seeing over this <br /> difficult task. Further, Arlene also does an out- <br /> standing job in all her other duties which some of them <br /> way exceed her job responsibility. <br /> <br />Further Comments: As I have stated many times, the City of <br />Ramsey is very lucky to have such fine employees who are dedi- <br />cated to their job. The above three (3) employees do a <br />fantastic job of filling in when a department head is not avail- <br />able. In Jeanne's case she is our Finance Department. <br /> <br />Consequently, I'm recommending that the Council recognize these <br />outstanding employees by Council resolution. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to adopt resolution recog- <br />nizing these employees. <br /> <br /> <br />
