PHILIP KARST SPECIAL ASSESSMENT <br />Mr. Philip Karst was present earlier at the meeting and requested this matter <br />be taken from the agenda. <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to rescind the <br />Council's action regarding this matter taken at the October 28, 1950 Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, Reimann and Cox. <br />Voting no None. (~ayor Gamec was not present) <br /> <br />BUILDABILITY OF CERTAIN LOTS <br /> <br />This item was tabled until Mayor Gamec returns to the meeting. <br /> <br />P~SEY LANDFILL <br />The Council reviewed the October 23, 1980 letter from the Waste Management. <br />Councilman Cox stated we should have the same complaint every week. City <br />Engineer Raatikka mentioned that the nitrates in Well #5 are up. Question <br />as to whether or not this was the new Well #5 or not - and Council feels we <br />should receive reports on both Well #5's. <br /> <br />Also, we need the Barr Engineering report which has yet to be provided to <br />the City. Councilwoman Elect Vah Wagner said last week she could see garbage <br />every night which was not properly covered. <br /> Councilman Cox said we_ shotuld find out what action has been taken against the <br /> Landfill for these consistent continual violations. <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to forward a <br />letter.to the County'Board asking what their position is on the problems <br />cited'at the Landfill. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Voting yes Councilmen Sorteberg, Mdckelson, Reimann and <br /> Cox. Voting no None. (Mayor Gamec was not present) <br /> Councilwoman Elect Van Wagner asked regarding the cont~mluated materials <br /> brought to the Landfill. She said the Pollution Control Agency doesn't <br /> want to take this material out. The area where it was dumped was roped <br /> off. Mr. Hutchison said it would be coming out today or tomorrow. <br /> Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to send a <br /> letter to Ms. Terry Hoffman of the Pollution Control Agency with a carbon <br /> copy to Governor Quie stating that we should be advised of what is happen- <br /> ing with regard to the hazardous waste from the Victoria Grain Mill or <br /> Bilger Transfer. Also the County Board should be written concerning this <br /> subject. <br /> <br /> Motion carrie~. Voting yes Mayor Gsmec, Councilmen Sorteberg; Mickelson, <br /> Reimann and Cox. Voting no None.
