CASE #2: <br /> <br />RAMSEY LANDFILL: <br />The following is submitted for your action and information: <br /> <br />a) Ramsey Landfill Contracts: Enclosure (D2-b) contains the <br /> following documents: <br /> <br /> l) Letter from the Mayor of the City of Anoka dated <br /> November 26, 1980 to the Rmmsey City Council regarding <br /> City of Anoka Landfill Contract with the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br /> 2) Our letter dated October 28, 1980 to the City of Anoka <br /> regarding Landfill contract. <br /> <br /> 3) Contract between the City of Anoka and City of Ramsey <br /> dated October, 1976. <br /> Comments: It appears in the last paragraph of the City of <br /> Anoka's letter dated November 26, 1980 there is absolutely <br /> no reason for further negotiation in regards to Ramsey Land- <br /> fill contract between Anoka and Ramsey. Consequently, it's <br /> my recommendation that we proceed with appropriate legal <br /> action. <br /> <br /> Council Action: Your action will be to direct the City Attorney <br /> to take appropriate legal action. <br /> <br /> b) Ramsey Landfill Reports: Enclosure (D2-c) contains the <br /> following documents for' Council information: <br /> <br /> l) Monthly Landfill report for month of November, 1980 <br /> from Con~prehensive Health, Anoka County. <br /> <br /> 2) Robert Hutchison's, Con~prehensive Health, Anoka County, <br /> letter dated December l, 1980, to the Ramsey City <br /> Council in response to our letter of November 12, <br /> 1980 in regards to reoccurring landfill violations and <br /> what is being done about them. <br /> <br /> 3) Robert Hutchison letter in response to November ll, <br /> 1980 telephone conversation concerning removal of <br /> pesticide contaminated fire debris from the Anoka <br /> Landfill. <br /> <br /> 4) Ms. Terry Hoffman's, Director Minnesota Pollution Con- <br /> trol Agency, letter dated December 2, 1980 to the Ramsey <br /> City Council in response to our letter dated November 13, <br /> 1980 regards to the dumping of eontamined pesticides <br /> in Ramsey Landfill which c~me from the Bilger Warehouse <br /> fire. <br /> Council Action: Your Action should be to note that you have <br /> reviewed subject documents contained in Enclosure (D2-c) for <br /> historical documentation purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />
