CASE #2: RAMSEY LANDFILL: The following is submitted for your action and information: a) Ramsey Landfill Contracts: Enclosure (D2-b) contains the following documents: l) Letter from the Mayor of the City of Anoka dated November 26, 1980 to the Rmmsey City Council regarding City of Anoka Landfill Contract with the City of Ramsey. 2) Our letter dated October 28, 1980 to the City of Anoka regarding Landfill contract. 3) Contract between the City of Anoka and City of Ramsey dated October, 1976. Comments: It appears in the last paragraph of the City of Anoka's letter dated November 26, 1980 there is absolutely no reason for further negotiation in regards to Ramsey Land- fill contract between Anoka and Ramsey. Consequently, it's my recommendation that we proceed with appropriate legal action. Council Action: Your action will be to direct the City Attorney to take appropriate legal action. b) Ramsey Landfill Reports: Enclosure (D2-c) contains the following documents for' Council information: l) Monthly Landfill report for month of November, 1980 from Con~prehensive Health, Anoka County. 2) Robert Hutchison's, Con~prehensive Health, Anoka County, letter dated December l, 1980, to the Ramsey City Council in response to our letter of November 12, 1980 in regards to reoccurring landfill violations and what is being done about them. 3) Robert Hutchison letter in response to November ll, 1980 telephone conversation concerning removal of pesticide contaminated fire debris from the Anoka Landfill. 4) Ms. Terry Hoffman's, Director Minnesota Pollution Con- trol Agency, letter dated December 2, 1980 to the Ramsey City Council in response to our letter dated November 13, 1980 regards to the dumping of eontamined pesticides in Ramsey Landfill which c~me from the Bilger Warehouse fire. Council Action: Your Action should be to note that you have reviewed subject documents contained in Enclosure (D2-c) for historical documentation purposes.
