All of the above streets
· ravel street approx~mate!y_~1~eehnwe r. with development of the area
~e~ ~; ~ ~ly constructed as rural ~t[~:~, .... ve . .
r i a
portions of the ditches have been filled in.
Last October the City installed a storm drainage system to handle the drainage from
Tungsten and Front. This system was also sized to handle the runoff from Rivlyn Avenue,
but due to strong objections from the residents in the area no inlets for drainage
were provided. During heavy rains and prior to the spring thaw runoff from Ri¥1yn
Avenue drains north along Tungsten Street and into the storm sewer· Also temporary
flooding of the Tungsten Street and Rivlyn Avenue intersection has occurred.
as
Therefore, as part of the street improvement project we would recommend an inlet and
a catch basin be provided at the intersection of Rivlyn Avenue and Tungsten Street
as shown
shown on Exhibit A. We have estimated the cost for these inlets to be $2,400.
' it A share in the overall assessment of the storm se~er.~je~t-~ Since the
also reco~end that the entire area that drains into the storm sewer
would 3b . eted the exact c~st ot ~he prolec~ has not been
on Exh . .=-~+~ has not been com~l ........ ~ nro~ect ~cluding the inlets at
easement acqu~>,~, ~. _~.~ ~n t for the s~on, ~:-~- r ~ shown on
determined.
