Voting yes-Mayor Camec, Councilmen Sorteberg and Reimann. <br /> Voting no-None. <br /> <br /> 2--) Meadowbrook Estates Request for Final Plat Approval <br /> Mr. Paul Johnson, the developer'S representative, said originally he <br /> thougSthe council meeting was going to be on Tuesday and he didn't <br /> have all the necessary items with him at this meeting. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Reimann to <br /> grant Final Plat Approval for Meadowbrook Estates contingent upon <br /> the receiving of the City Engineer's report and the City Attorney's <br /> opinions. <br /> Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Camec, Councilmen Sorteberg and Reimann. <br /> 3) City Assessor To Discuss with Council in Regards to Residential <br /> Valuation Assessments Made in 1981 for 1982 <br /> City Assessor Wirz said there will be a 7% increase in valuation (residential) <br /> assessments made in 1981 payable in 1982. Last years was 13%, so <br /> it is cut about in half s_ud the year before it was 9%. <br /> Mayor Gamec said that increase of 7% would not increase taxes, but <br /> actually lower them. <br /> <br /> Discussion was held regarding.commercial valuations. <br /> Councilman Relmann suggested the city not raise the valuations this year <br /> being the county wouldn't let t~e city lower them. <br /> Mayor Gamec said they would have to handle the cases individually. <br /> He felt it was a mistake to try to handle the whole thing at the s~me <br /> time instead of on an individual basis. <br /> <br />c/September 8, 1980 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
