January 12, 1981 <br />Page Two <br /> <br /> January 29, 7:30 p.m. Coon Rapids City Hall, <br /> 1313 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW <br /> <br />If your Community currently has an ordinance which may impact the <br />landspreading of sewage sludge on private property or the land <br />disposal of grit, screenings and incinerator ash, the Council would <br />appreciate it if you would send us a copy of that ordinance. <br />Your comments and recommendations will help the Council to develop <br />review criteria which will allow local government to place reasonable <br />conditions on land disposal or spreading of sewage sludge, grit, <br />screenings and incinerator ash, but not exclude such actions when <br />suitable environmental conditions exist. <br />Here is a tentative schedule of meetings at which the local ordinance <br />review criteria will be discussed (all meetings at Metropolitan <br />Council chambers): <br /> February 4, 2:00 p.m. Solid and Hazardous Waste Management <br /> ~ Advisory Committee will discuss draft <br /> local ordinance review criteria. <br /> <br />March 4, 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> March 12, 1:3b p.m. <br /> <br />.'March 12, 4:00 p-m-. <br /> <br />Solid and Hazardous Waste Management <br />Advisory Committee will make recommen- <br />'dation on draft local ordinance review <br />criteria.~ <br /> <br /> Physical Development Committee will <br /> review draft local ordinance review <br /> criteria. <br /> <br />Metropolitan Council will review draft <br />local ordinance review criteria and set <br /> <br />date for'a public hearing. <br /> <br /> I hope that you will take this opportunity to respond and assist us <br /> in developing this criteria.
