The request had gone
before the Physical Development Committee in June 1980, but
action was delayed to allow a further review with the city. At

that time, Fred pointed out, it appeared that the Council,
Commission staff or city staff had not changed their positions, and
it was slated to go before the Physical Development Committee
later on the month.

With regard to the Anoka segment, Fred reviewed the schedule
the MWCC was following:

Submittal of plans and specifications
to the MWCC

MWCC approval
Request for bids
Signing of contract

· Construction

December 1980

January 1981'

February 1981

March 1981

Spring 1981

III. The Metropolitan
Council position relative to this extension has not changed.
Basically, the response would be that until the comprehensive
plan is submitted and reviewed along with the comprehensive
sewer plan, the Council would not take any action regarding
this request. It was also discussed briefly the need for the
communities of Anoka and Ramsey to review each other's plans,
and particularly, establish a common corridor for this extension.

IV. OTHER BUSINESS

The committee agreed that it should meet again in January to
review Anoka's plans and specifications, a draft of the proposed
208 water quality amendment relative to the CAB facility, and
the status of the Metropolitan Treatment Plant.

JEB:im
