If Council disapproves or requests that certain areas be
amended, you should put this in resolution form.

CASE #6:

ORDINANCE CHANGES:

A. Mining O~dinances
By O~dinance 80-1 the City adopted by reference the State
Building Code mining ordinance. The City's building Official,
Engineer and Attorney ~t on February 17, 1981 and reviewed
this entire ordinance and have made numerous recommendations
for amendments. They feel that because of the extensive re-
visions necessary, the ordinance should be retyped and published
in its entirety. This will then be a 10-12 page ordinance. It
will be presented to the Council for action at the Mamch 10th
meeting.

B. Miscellaneous O~dinances
The Comcil has further directed that the Animal O~dinance,
Subdivision Site Plan, and Scenic Rivers and Critical Rivers
O~dinances be either amended or adopted. These will all be
presented to the Council as staff is able to prepare them.

C. Recodification
In addition to the above p~oposed amendments and additions,
the City now has 33 ordinances and amendments, which were adop-
ted since the ordinance codification in 1977. The Council may
want to start thinking about recodifying ou~ ordinances which
would incorporate all of the ab6ve amendments and additions.
For those ordinances which have yet to be adopted, which staff
is in the p~ocess of preparing, recodification would save the
publications expense, which for Some of these proposed amend-
ments will be substantial. If Council is interested in this
please advise staff and we will prepare a cost estimate.
