TO: City Administrator

FROM: Building Official

RE: Monthly Report

DATE: February 19, 1981

The current lull in building has occurred at a quite opportune time as it
has allowed for cleanup of a number of items neglected in the past because
of inadequate time. These include the updating of numerous building files
where items had not been completed or all the permits had not been acquired.
Letters were sent on these items and the response has been quite favorable.

Other letters included the following:

l) Jack Menkveld - Ralph Nissen - Moved in something.
2) 7421 - 150th Lane (Non complying chimney)
3) DeWitt Enterprises (Failure to obtain final inspection)
4) Morrell Trucking (Failure to obtain final inspection)

There were no building permits issued for the month but there have been
numerous calls in regards to the information needed to acquire permits.
have also spent some time with an individual who is contemplating a con-
venience market just west of City Hall as well as representatives of the
Super Bowl who are considering an expansion.

I

The report on the various development contracts and miscellaneous items
should also be given to the City Comucil for their consideration.

In working with the City Attorney on the various new ordinances as well as
ordinance amendments he has indicated recodification may, at this time, be
advisable. He will address this item at the next regular Council meeting.

Mileage and inspections are as follows:

Mileage
Inspections

1,249 (all departments as recorded)
41
