The County has obtained an extension until June 1, 1981, for re- <br /> ,md comment. <br /> Since .receiving the Department of Natural Resources preliminary designation and mapping, <br /> the county has held four public informational meeting, had numerous discussions with <br /> property owners, and have undertaken a revision of the map. This re-mapping was based <br /> upon our understanding of the law (as it currently is written) and review of existing data <br /> available to us (1/2 section aerial photos, soils maps, Soil Conservation Service wetlands <br /> inventory, individual property owners, community officials, site investigations, county <br /> ditch records, and government lot surveys)- copies of our recapping and draft recom- <br /> mendations have been submitted to each community (city/tOwnship) in the county. Before <br /> presenting our recommendations to the County Board of commissioners we will be meeting <br /> with each community to discuss this matter.
