REPORT ON THE FEASIBILITY STUDY
FOR BITUMINOUS STREET PAVING
IN PELTZER ADDITION
AND ADJACENT UNPLATTED AREAS IN SECTIONS 22 AND 27

~cop~:
The purpose of this report is to discuss the feasibility of providing bituminous
streets to serve the above referenced area. The petition for this street improve-
ment project did not include 149th Avenue N.W. or Limontte Street N.W. Based on
the City staff's recommendation, these two streets were included in the project as
an alternate. This report also provides a cursory review of the existing drainage
system within the project area.

The project area lies within the SW~ of Section 22, and the NW~ of the N~P~ of
Section 27, Township 32 North, Range 25 West, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minne-
sota.

The project is generally bounded by 149th Avenue N.W. on the South, Ramsey Boulev.ard
on the West, 151st Avenue N.W. on the North and Garnet Street N.W. on the West as
shown on Exhibit A.

Existing Conditions:
The present street network consists of a rural street section with a gravel or
sand surface approximately 22 to 26 feet in width.

The present drainage system utilizes driveway culverts, drainage channels and
ponding areas. The present system, although reviewed in a preliminary manner,
generally appears operational with the exception of an ultimate need for a
positive outlet from the pondlng areas and occasional flooding of Limonite
Street, 149th Avenue, Garnet Street and the intersection of Garnet Street and
151st Avenue.

1
