ADDENDUM TO COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />,/ <br /> <br />Enclosure (D3-h) Miscellaneous P~oposed Legislation <br /> <br />CASE ~10: <br /> <br />LEGISLATION: <br /> <br />1) Miscellaneous Proposed Legislation; enclosure (D3-h) contains <br />the following action things Council may w~nt to voice an opinion <br />which are as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Manufactured Homes as a Permitted Use. There is a law <br />going through now that would make manufactured homes and mobile <br />homes a certified home under the national standards and must be <br />conslde~ed a permitted use in R-i districts. Please refer to <br />League Alert dated Ma~ch 17 and 20, 1981. <br /> <br /> b. Cities Ability to Use Industrial Revenue Bonds threats. <br />Please refer to League Alert dated March 20~ 1981. <br /> <br /> c. State Aid Street Funding - Please refer to League Alert <br />of March 19, 1981 <br /> <br />2) Letters to Governor; <br /> <br /> a. Letter to Governor Quie dated March 10, 1981. This <br />letter w~s in regards to the inconstencies in the municipal pop- <br />ulation as part of formula to distribute the following State Aids <br />to Cities: (1) State Local Government Aid to Cities and (2) <br />Municipal State Aid Street Apportionment to Cities. <br /> <br /> b. Letter to Governor Quie dated February 25, 1981. This <br />was in regar~ls to l) State and Local Aids to Cities, 12) l~operty <br />tax on Industrial and Commercial p~operties and 3) T~eating renters <br />the same as home owners in regards to Homestead C~edit. <br /> <br />As of this date, we have not had a response from the Governor's <br />Office to the above letters. I'm surprised that the Governor <br />hasn't responded to this Governoring body. <br /> <br />3) State Local Government Aid: <br /> <br />We are progressing along on this issue. The legi§lative process <br />is very slow and we really need to spend more time with it. <br /> <br />Council Action: You should review this and at least note that you <br />are aware of the above. <br /> <br /> <br />
