PROCEEDINGS OF THE cITY cOUNCIL <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKACOUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, 5~rch 10, 1981, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor G~mec <br /> Councilman Sorteberg (late 7:%5) <br /> Councilman Reimann <br /> Councilman Cox <br /> CouncilwomsnVanWagner <br /> <br /> City E~gineer Raatikka <br />~Also Present: City Attorney Goodrich <br /> City Building Official Berg <br /> City Administrator Schnelle <br /> Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. and led in the Pledge <br /> of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITI_~ZEN INPU~T <br />Ted Olson from Champlin Homes Unlimited came before the council regarding <br />a building permit question of Ramsey property, 40 Acre parcel on Co. Rd. <br />6% and 5 requesting a single residence building permit on %0 Acres, not <br /> a subdivision, just one home. Mayor Gamec advised him he would need a <br /> public hearin~ for a variance and referred him to the plsmning and Zoning <br /> Con~issien for the April meeting. He asked Mr. Olson to meet with Building <br /> Official Berg and go over the ordinance and set up the hearing. This <br /> parcel was before the council before and it was determined there Eas not <br /> adequate frontage, onlY 66' and there must be a variance. <br /> Dick Hetland came before the council regarding approval of an aluminum cannery <br /> and recycling center in a 20 x %0 building behind McGregors. He is the <br /> owner of Brooklyn Park Aluminum. Councilman Reims-un asked him if he was <br /> aware Grosslein's already have one. ~r. Hetland is aware of this fact <br /> and stated his volume would be larger. Attorney Goodrich stated this was <br /> a permitted use and Mr. Hetland would need an application for the business. <br /> Mr. Hetland to see Building Official Berg and fill out <br /> problam <br /> Payor Gamec asked ...... enda.
