PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Members Absent: None <br />Also Present: Human Resources Manager Givonna Reed Kone <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Assistant Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Jeffrey called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve the agenda <br />as submitted. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmember Dehen, Olson and Jeffrey. Voting No: None. <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Consider Adopting a Post -employment Health Care Savings Plan for Non- <br />union Employees and Appointing a Third Party Administrator <br />Human Resources Manager Reed Kone explained that a post -employment health savings plan is <br />a tax free account used to save for and pay for eligible medical expenses. Human Resources <br />Manager Reed Kone explained that such plans must be implemented by group status and plan <br />design options were explored at the request of non -union employees. Human Resources <br />Manager Reed Kone further advised that the plans were evaluated with the understanding that <br />employee dollars, such as salary, sick leave and/or vacation would be contributed to the plan. <br />Personnel Committee / June 24, 2008 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
