City of Ramsey City of Ramsey BKV Group BKV Group 3D/I Date December 22, 2005 Re P,~rnsey Municipal Center Keflective Ceiling Area C Thank you for meeting with BKrV and me on Monday, December 19n to review the documents and discuss the issue of the clearstory drywall ceiling in Area C. As we discussed, you did not include the clearstory ceiling in your bid take-off because you understood it to be exposed deck since the area was not "speckled". However, you did include the drywall soffits in the space. It is BKV's interpretation that the ceiling is drywall as described in 3D/I's memo dated December 8, 2005. At the meeting we requested that you provide a detailed proposal to install the ceiling. We indicated that by requesting the proposal we were not necessarily agreeing to a change order to your contract. It remains our goal to work with you towards an acceptable agreement On December 20n, we received your proposal for the ceiling of $35,238.00. [n our telephone conversation later that day, you stated the area is 36' x 105' for a total of 3,780 sq. ft. This calculates out to $9.32 per sq. ft. This includes material and equipment orS1.89 per sq. ft., and labor of $7.43 per sq. ft. You saki you would agree to a settlement of $25,000. I reviewed your proposal with Ted Redmond of BKV.
