C-la <br /> <br />DECLARE CERTAIN CITY VEHICLES AS EXCESS EQUIPMENT <br /> By: Jim Way, Police Chief <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff is proposing to declare the Police Department's 1999 Arctic Cat Jag 340 <br />snowmobile as excess inventory and sell it at auction. The City has established an <br />account with the Minneapolis Auto Auction for the sale of city vehicles. Dan Bray, Sr. <br />Building Maintenance Worker, will be overseeing the auction of vehicles for the City. <br />The snowmobile proposed to be declared excess property is: <br /> <br />1999 Arctic Cat "Jag 340" Serial #: 9904730 <br /> <br />Staff has determined that enforcement of recreational vehicles by snowmobile is no <br />longer effective due to recent changes in City Code, restricting their use to an area north <br />of 167th Avenue. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> Authorize Resolution No. 06-03-xx, Declaring Excess Equipment <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> Adopt Resolution No. 06-03-xx, Declaring Excess Equipment <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Finance Officer <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />-171- <br /> <br /> <br />
