Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-03-xx <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW PARK <br /> SHELTER AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has been working with the City regarding the <br />replacement of the Park Shelter at Central Park and has donated $185,000.00 towards the cost of <br />the project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hakanson Anderson & Associates donated the civil engineering work <br />required for the project and Ramsey Lions member Al Hurner and Adkins Association Inc. <br />architects donated the schematic design work for the project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council authorized re-bidding for the project at their regular meeting of <br />February 28th and the use of Charitable Gambling Funds to fund the additional costs associated <br />with the project above the $185,000.00 donation by the Ramsey Lions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, three sealed bids were received and opened at City Hall on Friday, March <br />24th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes a contract for construction of the <br />new Park Shelter at Central Park with in the amount of <br />$ <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 28th day of March 2006. <br /> <br />-202- <br /> <br /> <br />
