Citizen Input <br /> <br />Joel WestphaI, 15386 Zuni Court, Ramsey, stated that he lives in the cul-de-sac and questioned if <br />the change was being made to install a pool at the existing house. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Tmdgeon explained that the request is for Lot 10. <br /> <br />Mr. WestphaI inquired if the change will take away square footage for the person to build on Lot <br />9. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Tmdgeon explained that 2,300 square feet will be taken from <br />Lot 9 for Lot 10, but Lot 9 will still meet all of the required setbacks with the change. He noted <br />that at this time the City has not received any plans for Lot 9. <br /> <br />Mr. Westpahl inquired if there was any way to get information from Maple Leaf Homes as to <br />what kind of house they might build on Lot 9. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon explained that the Council is not looking at the <br />administrative subdivision they are only addressing the vacation of drainage easement. If Maple <br />Leaf Homes were to build a "monster house" that did not meet setback requirements they would <br />have to come before the Council for a variance at which time the neighbors would be notified. <br /> <br />Mr. Westphal stated that he was not concerned about what was being requested, but he wants to <br />make sure that the builder will have to stay within the guidelines on the lot that is smaller. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon replied that was correct. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Olson, Cook, Elvig, <br />Jeffrey, and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to introduce an ordinance <br />to vacate the easements for drainage and utility purposes on Lot 3, Block 1, Ramsey 67 Industrial <br />Park, 1st Addition and Lot 4, Block 10akridge Industrial Park. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Elvig inquired if there were any existing drainage issues in <br />this location.
