C.S.A.H. 57 (Sunfish Lake Boulevard) <br />In Ramsey <br />Traffic Control Signal System <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Schnelle: <br /> <br />Our offi~eis currently designing a permanent traffic control signal system <br />for the above referenced intersection. <br /> <br />The proposed signal construction is to install a permanent three (3) phase, <br />fully traffic actuated signal system with overhead and pedestrian provisions <br />for all approaches. Luminaires will also be provided'at the intersection. <br /> <br />Before proceeding, certain maintenance provisions must he incorporated' into <br />an agreement. It is proposed that the City of Ramsey' will be responsible <br />for painting, relamping and cleaning of the signal system; street light <br />maintenance; and power costs to operate the signal and street'light systems. <br />The State will be responsible for the controller' and hardware. <br /> <br />The project is scheduled for a September 25, 1981 letting date. The estimated <br />cost for the signal construction is approximately $85,000. It is anticipated <br />that the project will be funded approximately 76 percent with Primary Funds <br />from the Federal Government. It is proposed that the remaining 24 percent <br />be split - 16 percent State, 4 percent Anoka County and 4 percent City of <br />Ramsey. (This is based on the State's policy of entering leg jurisdiction <br />and the County's policy of reassessing one half its share to the municipality.) <br />The City and County will each be assessed an additional 6 percent of their <br />individual share for engineering and inspection costs. <br /> <br />Please forward your decision on our proposals, so we can proceed with the <br />cooperative agreement and meet the letting date.
