COUNTY OF ANOKA
C.E.T.A.
Comprehensive Employment and Training Center
7150 EAST RIVER ROAD, FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA 55432 • 612/571 -8500
Z 3141516 j
t$isiir, 1981 p
APR tl
a r CEIVFp
MEMO TO: Employers and Site Supervisors P N
FROM: Elaine Pizner, Youth Programs Coordinator GZ8Z1
RE: Anoka County Summer Youth Program
Plans for this year's Summer Youth Program are in progress; with our estab-
• lished goal to provide a work experience for as many youth as possible accord-
ing to our anticipated available funding. You are an important part of the
program and your cooperation is needed in providing appropriate worksites for
the youth of our County.
All types of entry -level jobs relating to your area should be considered. These
guidelines will be followed:
1. Each youth may work for a maximum of 6 weeks /28 hours per week between
June 8th and August 14th.
2. You may select which weeks are the most appropriate for your worksite.
3. You have the option to start youth on June 8th, for 6 weeks, put on addi-
tional youth at a later date for a six -week period, and thus extend the
time period for work needing to be done at your worksite.
• 4. In any case, no individual youth will be allowed more than six weeks on
C.E.T.A. wages. Last year several worksites transferred youth, who had
proven to be good employees during the Summer, to their own payroll follow-
ing the C.E.T.A. program and I recommend that you consider this as a possi-
bility.
5. You may schedule the total of 28 hours a week; 4 days /7 hours each or what-
ever combination of 28 hours that is most beneficial to your situation.
6. The hourly pay rate is $3.35.
Job description forms are a 2 AG t
All job descriptions should be completed and in to my office by April-15th, in
order to be considered for this year's program.
An orientation, for all employers -site supervisors who will be involved with
youth at the worksites, will be held on May 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
at Bunker Hills Activity Center. Please mark your calendar to reserve that time.
If you have further questions, please call me at 571 -8500.
EP:dh
Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
Z
