TO: City Administrator <br />FROM: City Assessor <br />DATE: April 22, 1981 <br />SUBJ: Monthly Report <br />The last books were turned into the County on April 3, 1981 to <br />complete the 1981 assessment. The sales ratio on residential <br />property was 93.1% compared to 94.5% a year ago. <br />• The Commercial Industrial land values remained the same as in <br />1980. The Class C commercial buildings were raised 5.1% over <br />1980 value. The Class D buildings were raised 4.3 %. These rate <br />increases were figured out by Marshall Swift and Company. <br />Residential lots remained the same and the residential structures <br />value, as you know, raised 7 %. <br />Agriculture Tillable land raised $100 an acre. The north two <br />tears of sections were $800 an acre and now is $900 an acre. The - <br />center two tears went from $900 to $1000 an acre. The two lower <br />tears were $1000 and now are $1100 an acre. All other agriculture <br />land remained the same. <br />The monthly local assessors meeting was held here at the City Hall <br />• on Tuesday, April 21, 1981. There were about 15 assessors in attend- <br />ance and some good discussion came out of the meeting. <br />The Board of Review will be held on May 14, 1981 at 7:00 P.M. here <br />at the City Hall.
