i .. y <br />GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR ONE (1) 17,500 LB. TRUCK AND DUMP BODY FOR <br />CITY STREET DEPARTMENT <br />1) FORM OF PROPOSAL AND CONTRACT <br />Proposals to furnish the equipment specified must be submitted on <br />the forms included herewith, itemized as therein provided for. <br />Acceptance of the proposal by the City Council shall constitute a <br />contract by and between the City and the Cidder. Contract documents <br />include the Notice and Instructions to Bidder, the Proposal Form, <br />these General Specifications, and the Specifications for the truck. <br />2) BASIS OF AWARD <br />The contract may be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder, or in <br />the best interests of the City. <br />3) BIDDERS SURETY <br />A certified check, money order or bidders bond in the amount of 5% <br />of the bid shall accompany the proposal. The same shall be made out <br />unconditionally to the City of Ramsey, Minnesota, and in accordance <br />with the terms of the proposal. Said check, money order or bidders <br />bond will be retured to the successful bidder upon satisfactory <br />delivery as stated in the proposal. Checks, money orders or bidder <br />bonds of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately after <br />acceptance of the successful bidder. <br />4) PAYMENT <br />• Payment will be made to the Vendor after: <br />a) Acceptance and approval by the City of the equipment de- <br />livered and <br />b) Upon submission of the bill, or invoice, priced in accord- <br />ance with the proposal. <br />5) RIGHT TO HOLD AND REJECT BIDS <br />The City reserves the right to hold any bids for a period of thirty <br />days from the date set for the opening thereof before acting thereon. <br />The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and also to <br />waive informalities. <br />6) TAX EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE <br />The City will execute a Federal and State tax exemption certificate <br />where applicable. <br />
