J �, 6 1 <br />q) MATER AND EQUIPMENT <br />The materials used in construction of the apparatus shall be of the <br />highest quality, free from all defects which would cause any unsightly <br />or unworkmanlike appearance. All materials shall be suitable for the <br />services which they are to perform and the conditions and stresses to <br />which they will be normally subjected. The vehicle shall be furnished <br />with all items of accessory equipment that is advertised as standard <br />by the manufacturer for the model to be furnished whether or not <br />specific mention is made herein. <br />The equipment to be furnished under these specifications shall be <br />essentially the standard product of the manufacturer. equipment <br />shall be of the best quality normally used for the purpose of g ood <br />commercial practice and shall be the products of reputable manu- <br />facturers. The equipment shall be designed and built in strict <br />• accordance with the applicable specifications codes and regulations. <br />Design, material, and workmanship and performance shall equal or <br />exceed the minimum requirements of these standards and they shall <br />incorporate the latest accepted practices and useages with respect <br />to design, materials and construction. <br />8) RIGHT TO OPERATE UNSATISFACTORY EQUIPMENT <br />The owner shall have the right to operate any or all apparatus as <br />soon and as long as it is in operating condition whether or not such <br />apparatus has been accepted as complete and satisfactory, except that <br />this shall not be construed to permit operation of any apparatus which <br />may be materially damaged by such operation before any required al- <br />terations, or repairs have been made by the Contractor. All repairs <br />required by the Owner shall be made by the Contract at such time as <br />directed by the Owner. The repairs and alterations ahll be made in <br />such a manner and such a time as will cause a minimum interruption <br />in the use of the apparatus by the Owner,. <br />9) DELIVERY <br />The Contractor shall state in his proposal the date by which the <br />vehicle will be delivered to the City. <br />10) GUARANTEES <br />All proposals submitted shall contain the manufacturer's guarantee <br />as to workmanship and materials and shall furthermore include com- <br />plete performance gurantees. Proposals shall be accompanied by the <br />manufacturers complete specifications. <br />
