b) Negotiating the area of differences between <br />the City of R~nsey and the Metro Council in re- <br />gards to the adoption of Ramsey's Critical Area <br />Plan. <br />c) Negotiating the areas of differences between <br />the City of Ramsey and the DNR in regards to the <br />adoption of Ramsey's Wild and Scenic River Ordi- <br /> <br />d) Negotiating any amendments after the adoption <br />of the Ramsey Comprehensive Plan which would <br />create a charge to Ramsey's plan with the Metro <br />Council. <br /> <br /> 4) To keep Ramsey's Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> cognizant of any changes that will be contrary to the <br /> Metro Council Guidelines policies. <br /> 5) Other areas that will be of a prime in~po~tance that <br /> will be accomplished by the position of Assistant Admini- <br /> strative Assistant: <br /> a) Processing of Conditional Home Occupation <br /> permits which will require the preparation of <br /> findings of fact and the proposed contract and <br /> admzinistering them. <br /> b) Processing of non conforming uses in the City <br /> Ramsey which will require cataloging and process- <br /> ing them in accordance with the City Code. <br /> c) Processing of land platting or subdivision in <br /> accordance with the City Code. <br /> d) Reviewing and upgrading which would involve <br /> land use ordinance, zoning ordinance and other <br /> ancillary ordinances. <br /> e) Processing of the run of the mill zoning com- <br /> plaints. <br /> <br />Summary: The above tasks shown are some of the major duties <br />that the proposed Assistant Administrative Assistant would <br />be expected to accomplish. However, he will get considerable <br />assistance in accomplishing the above tasks from the City <br />Administrator and Building Inspector. It should be noted - <br />that some of the above tasks are very time consuming. <br /> <br />Major concerns are providing secretary time and work space <br />for the proposed Assistant Administrative Assistant. Right <br />now, we need an additional secretary here at City Hall to <br />handle the work load that is being generated here. Con- <br />sequently, if we add the above position, I feel we will <br />definitely need a parttime secretary to handle the Assistant <br />A~m~uistrative Assistant's work load. <br /> <br />The next major concern is providing work space for the people. <br />We can provide it for the one secretary, but we will need <br />additional office space for the others. <br /> <br /> <br />
