(Batman) <br /> <br />DATE: May 7, 1981 <br /> <br />Yesterday having received a call from one of the neighbors, I in- <br />spected the above referenced fence and found it to be about three <br />feet from the roadway which is about ten feet into the right-of-way. <br />I stopped and discussed the issue with ~ir. Batman and tried to explain <br />to him that the fence would have to be on his own property. Rather <br />than cause problems between neighbors I told Mr. Batman that I was <br />merely driving through the area and had seen his construction. <br />As he does not want to move his fence he will be bringing this issue <br />to the City Council. <br /> <br /> In view of the potential liabilities, I would suggest sny requests to <br /> leave the fence in place be denied. <br /> <br /> <br />
