Mayor Gamec suggested a reviewal after 2 years and the developer will <br />meet with the City attorney to go over the terms of the contract and <br />bring it back to the Council for approval and Resolution. <br /> <br />Mationby Councilwoman Van Wagner and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg <br />to have the City Attorney Goodrich draw up a contract between the City <br />of Ramsey and NDH, developer of Flintwood Hills II, to be presented at <br />the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Councilwoman Van Wagner, CounciLman <br />Sorteberg, Councilman Cox, Councilman Reimann and Mayor Gamec. Voting <br />no: None. <br /> <br />CASE #7 CORNER STONE PLAQUE FOR CIT~ <br /> <br />Councilman Cox and Administrator Schnelle will meet to discuss further <br />attention on this matter. <br /> <br />CASE #8 HIRING OF POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br />The Council discussed the hiring of a police officer and reviewed <br />the memo from Chief of Police dated April 27, 1981 to the City <br />Administrator regarding results of his interviews for a police <br />officer and his recommendation for starting pay which is in keeping <br />with City policy. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated for the record he is a very good choice however <br />he was not iu favor of hiring anyone now. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann stated the City should pull in our horns and not hire <br />anybody because of the economic conditions, however he will go along with <br />Chief of Police Auspos' recommendations as a councilmsu. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwoman Van Wagner and seconded by Councilman ~orteberg <br />to adopt Resolution No. 81- 29 Hiring James Balabon as a Police <br />Officer at the recommended salaries as of June 1st with a 6 month probation. <br />(Refer to Resolution File, Resolution No. 81u 29 ). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg and <br />Councilwoman VanWagner.
