<br />OF BIF ARO AS VICE PRESIDENT & MANAGER
<br />
<br />Banco Mortgage Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of
<br />Northwest Bancorporation, recently announced the appoint-
<br />ment of James M. Bifaro as Vice President and Manager of
<br />the firm's Minneapolis Twin City Income Loan Office.
<br />
<br />Banco is the third largest mortgage banking company in the
<br />nation, presently servicing over four billion dollars in loans
<br />through its 58 offices located in 18 states. Northwest Bancor-
<br />poration is a bank holding company ranked 18th largest
<br />among banking organizations in the United States based on
<br />assets, and 13th largest on the basis of earnings.

<br />James M. Bifaro has had over 11
<br />years of direct real estate and
<br />commercial lending experience.
<br />During the past four years
<br />he has been responsible for all
<br />~"/ loan origination activities na-
<br />tionally for a major national
<br />lending institution where his ac-
<br />tivities included underwriting,
<br />appraising, negotiation and clos-
<br />ing of several million dollars in
<br />construction loans and perma-
<br />nent mortgage placements. Prior
<br />to his real estate activities, he
<br />managed a commercial loan port-
<br />folio of $ 50 million for a major lending organization. Bifaro is
<br />a graduate of the University of Buffalo and the Graduate
<br />School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, and has
<br />attended several Mortgage Banker's Association courses. He is
<br />a member of NAIOP, the Mortgage Banker's Association of
<br />Minnesota, and the National Mortgage Banker's Association.

<br />TOWLE NAMED AGENTS
<br />FOR OXFORD DEVELOPMENT
<br />
<br />Towle Real Estate was appointed exclusive agents for the
<br />sale of the former Donaldson's Department Store and park-
<br />ing ramp in St. Paul by Oxford Development Minnesota, Inc.
<br />Located between Seventh and Eighth Streets, and Robert and
<br />Minnesota Streets, the 6-story structure was constructed
<br />circa 1900. The building was vacated when Donaldson's
<br />relocated in Town Square.

<br />Towle also announced the appointment of John F. Bloods-
<br />worth, Apple Valley, as Insurance Agent for the firm. Bloods-
<br />worth was formerly an account representative with Allendale
<br />Insurance Company, and specializes in writing commercial and
<br />industrial property insurance.

<br />RAUENHORST CONGRATULATES BROKERS
<br />
<br />Rauenhorst Corporation is pleased to extend congratulations
<br />to Jim Miller of Coldwell Banker as the broker for a 40,000
<br />square foot office lease in the Edina Office Center at 76th
<br />and France Avenue in Edina. The new tenant is Home In-
<br />surance Company, a locally - based firm.

<br />WINFIELD COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION

<br />ON PHASE II OF RIVERVIEW PROJECT
<br />
<br />Winfield Developments, Inc. announces they have commenced
<br />construction of Phase II of the Riverview Business Plaza. Phase
<br />II comprises two office/warehouse buildings and a 2-story
<br />office building on the Lafayette Freeway immediately north
<br />of downtown St. Paul.
<br />
<br />The initial Phase of Winfield's 140,000 square foot develop-
<br />ment was completed in the Spring of 1980 and is 100% leased.
<br />
<br />RYAN ANNOUNCES NEW TENANT
<br />FOR ONE CORPORATE CENTER. . .
<br />AND PROGRESS ON NEW BYERLY'S
<br />
<br />Signetics Corporat!on, a nati,onal manufacturer of integrated
<br />circuits , has leased space in' Phase Two of One Corporate
<br />Center for their regional sales office according to Ryan Con-
<br />struction Co., managers of the property. David TlI;rnquist, Sig-
<br />netics' Regional Manager, said the move to new and larger
<br />quarters was "necessary due to the company's growth in ser-
<br />vicing midwestern customers."
<br />
<br />The firm has production facilities in Sunnyvale, California;
<br />Orem, Utah; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Signetics is a
<br />subsidiary of U. S. Philips Corporation, New York, and an
<br />affiliate ofli. V. Philips of Holland.

<br />Ryan Construction says that the 6.story, 116,000 square foot
<br />Phase Two is now at 100% occupancy. B. Dalton Bo()ksell~r
<br />is the major tenant, with its corporate offices located there.
<br />
<br />In other news, Ryan announced that construction is well
<br />underway on the new Byerly's food store in RidgehavenMall
<br />adjacent to Ridgedale Shopping Center in Minnetonka. The
<br />new facility, scheduled for completion in Spring of 1982, is
<br />located on an 8-acre site and will encompass some 72,000
<br />square feet of floor area.
<br />
<br />With architectural design and build by Ryan Construction,
<br />the mechanical engineering is specified by Planmark Engineer-
<br />ing of Hopkins, Minnesota. Plans call for four mezzanines,
<br />two of which will be utilized for offices and an employee
<br />lunchroom. When completed, the facilities will also house a
<br />bakery, restaurant, deli, liquor store and other quality food
<br />services which have become, Byerly's trademark through-
<br />out the years.
<br />
<br />Constructed of masonry walls and faced with decorative
<br />brick, the building will utilize color clad metal canopies to
<br />augment the design motif exemplified by other Byerly's stores
<br />in the Twin Cities area. Parking facilities at the Ridgehaven
<br />store will accommodate 453 cars. Total parking space for the
<br />center will service more than 1,280 cars.
