Councilmember McGlone asked <br />about the cost of a new officer versus the cost of using current staff to cover the schedule. <br />Human Resources Representative Lasher provided an overview based on step 1 of the patrol <br />wage scale as compared to paying, for example, an officer at "top" patrol at the overtime rate. <br />Motion by Chairperson Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Tossey, to accept the resignation of <br />a Patrol Officer and to authorize staff to recruit for a replacement Patrol Officer. <br />Motion carried.
