Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO HIRE A CITY ENGINEER <br />WHEREAS, at the June 5, 2012 special City Council meeting, staff was <br />authorized to conduct a recruitment process to fill the City Engineer position which <br />would be left vacant after June 29, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and five candidates were <br />interviewed and the top candidate was interviewed a second time; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is <br />recommending that the top finalist be hired as the City's new City Engineer position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring as the city's new City <br />Engineer at $37.82 per hour, effective on September 12, 2012, with a five day vacation <br />credit. <br />WHEREAS, staff will retain the engineering consultants for a short period of <br />time in order to ensure a smooth transition in the Engineering Division. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Motion to approve resolution # 12-09-XXX confirming the recommendation of <br />the Personnel Committee to authorize to hire of as the city's <br />new City Engineer at $37.82 per hour, effective on September 12, 2012, with a <br />five day vacation credit. <br />The motion for the adoption of the 'foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 11`h day of September 2012. <br />
