He stated that there are enough things like the corridors that will <br />need to be adapted to when there are new intersections. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked if there needs to be an action item under all of the strategies listed <br />or if they can say that there are no action items recognized or acknowledged for this year and keep <br />the strategy in place. She stated that this should be kept in as there is some potential for action <br />items as the City grows. <br /> <br />City Administrator Hagen stated that could be fair to do if something pops up mid-year. He moved <br />on to discuss improving the safety and mobility of transportation corridors. He stated that this is <br />broad and includes work such as filling potholes. He noted connecting the community through <br />parks and trails capital improvements along with recreational programming. He asked if the <br />strategies are generally good to go. He stated that it is now the time in the schedule to move into <br />small group discussion. <br /> <br />RECESS AND RECONVENE <br /> <br />The Council took a 15 minute break. <br /> <br />2.01: Annual Strategic Planning Session (continued) <br /> <br />Councilmember Howell suggested not going into small groups. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove stated that she would like to hear everyone's opinions. <br /> <br />Councilmember Specht asked what will be discussed in the small groups. <br /> <br />City Administrator Hagen explained that the small groups would be to see if there are any other <br />strategies and give a better opportunity for weighing in and diving into action plan items. <br /> <br />Mayor Kuzma said it seems like they should forgo the small groups and continue to discuss <br />strategies. <br /> <br />City Administrator Hagen continued the discussion of connecting the community through parks <br />and trails capital improvements along with recreational programming. He stated that this strategy <br />should stay as there is still work to be done. He added that they just got into the replacement <br />program and there are gaps in the trail system.
