AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 170.03 to the city ordinance 83-13 except for those plats approved effective date of this ordinance 88- The city of Ramsey ordains: subdivision and Code repealing prior to the SECTION 1. A!ZENDMENT. LAND DEDICATION In all new residential or commercial subdivisions, ten percent (10%) of the gross area subdivided shall be dedicated to the public for public use as parks, playgrounds, trails and/or open space. In all new industrial subdivisions, five percent (5%) of the gross area subdivided shall be dedicated to the public for public use as parks, playgrounds, trails and/or open space. Along with the dedication required in this section, additional land within the gross area subdivided may be required to be ~ ~ ated the public fcr public use as storm ~ater ued~c to hc!ding areas or pond~. No area may be dedicated for public use until ~ritten findings and recommendations regarding the proposed dedications have been made by the Planning commission and presented to the city Council shall not approve the dedication of any areas for public use unless it deternines that such areas for public use are suitable and needed for the public health, safety, convenience and/or general welfare of the city, as a result of approval of the subdivision.
