SPECIAL AIRPORT STUDY MEETING <br /> CITY OF RA~SEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A meeting of the City Council for the City of Ramsey was duly held <br />on May 19, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. concerning the Airport Issue. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilwoman Van Wagner <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reinmnn <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> <br />Building Official Berg <br />CED Engineer: Jim Johnson <br />Press: Eric Ssndin <br /> <br />~ayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />AGENDA: <br /> <br />Case #1: <br />Case #2: <br />Case #3: <br />Case #4: <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Airport Study and Citizen Input <br />Ford Brook Estates Petition <br />Lord of Life use of City Hall <br />Cancel 1st Meeting of the Council in June <br />Special Meeting and Hearing June 30th <br /> <br />Notion by Counci!m-n Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to <br />approve the agenda. <br /> <br />Notion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Cox, Councilwoman <br />Van Wagner, Counc~!m~n Sorteberg, and Coun¢~lm~u Reim~uu. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />CASE #1: AIRPORT STUDYAND CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec stated the. reason this meeting was called was for input <br /> and concern of the Citizens of Ramsey concerning the airport study <br /> and feasibility. <br /> <br /> Jim Johnson from Consulting Engineers Diversified discussed the feasibility <br /> study for an airport in the City of B~m~ey. He stated the City of <br />Ramsey was looking for airport sites for over two years. In January of 1979 <br />'a site feasibility study was completed. The basic findings included what <br />was necessary in order to develop the airport and was there adequate ground <br />space at present Gateway North Industrial Airport.
