Councilmember Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved <br />for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #81-49 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INST~T.T.¢TION OF CULVERT AT MR. JOE McCARTY'S <br />RESIDENCE, 6877 - 162ND LANE N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. McCarty has requested that the .City of R~msey <br />install a c~lvert under his driveway due to a drainage problem crested <br />by Street Improvement Project #79-8; and <br /> <br /> ~, the City has a policy whereby it will not pur- <br />chase culverts for private property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, based on the findings of fact adopted by the <br />Council on May 26, 1981, described this as a unique situation. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MffNNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That Mr. McCarty purchase the culvert for his driveway <br />within thirty (30) days' from the date of this resolution at his cost. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City of Ramsey Maintenance Department will in- <br />stall said culvert and regrade the ditch at the City's expense <br /> <br /> 3) That the Council further stated should Mr. McCa~ty fstl <br />to comply with the Council's request that he purchase the culvert within <br />the thirty (30) day period the City would not have any further obligation <br />in regards to his drainage problem. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Cox and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City CoUncil this the 26th day of May, 1981. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
