City Of Ramsey
Ramsey, Minnesota 55303

Re: Randy Lindgren's 3equest for dog kennel

license

Gentlemen:
We are neighbors directly adjacent to the premises of
Randy Lindgren and roommates. The kennel containing four
of the five dogs housed on this land faces directly into our
back yard. We are approximately 250 feet away from the kennel
itself. There is another dog tied up further away.
We do have problems with these dogs being a nuisance. We
cannot even go out onto our back deck or back yard without
having all five dogs barking at us.
Lindgren built his home with his hackyard facing onto our bac~yard.
Our lots sit side by side and are 5 acres in total each.
We have had a lot of problems with their hunting dogs chasing
our tame and wild ducks we have raised and those that are on our
private pond.
One of the roommfites has taken the liberty to bring all five dogs
on our pond on thin ice in April and run the dogs in our
back yard and after asking him to leave was abusive
We after that thought we would let.the city handle such matters
when continued problems came up, note police report and request
to the city about the compliance problems of too many dogs and
dogs at large (also police report wherein roomates on Lindgren
property unleashed one of the dogs contained for the dog.catcher
.to pick up). ' ....
Lately we ~eally haven't had many times where the dogs cross
%he fence, but they do go onto others land other than our own.
Largely,'these dogs are unsupervised most of the time they are
out; .'- : ~' ~'i. '-"" '
These dogs belong to a'number Of'people - the roommates and
R. Lindgren. To me, kennel license would seem to infer raising
dogs for a business, breeding purposes, or something asimiliar.
The dog kennel-could be moved to another location on the lot -
facing an empty strip of land belonging to H. Stoez, perhaps,
or the city could rule that this group of dogs does provide
a nuisance and refuse a license.
It is really aggravating to have all those dogs yap at you even
to hang out a rug in your own back yard or go to listen to
the birds. If the license means more than four or five dogs,
'- I guess there would be lots..of protest at this household.
Also', it is a consideration what they do to remove the feces of
all of these doRs. Whooping.it down the hill would have to
cease if run oft and sanztatxon were to be considered.

tOOt'
