Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilwoman Van Wagner to <br />adopt Resolution $1-4B Request for quotes for installing dry <br />wells as a alternative to the problem as described by City Engineer <br />Raatikka and take costs out of construction fund surplus. <br />(See Resolution File) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Games, Councilmen Cox, Council- <br />woman Van Wagner, CounciLmen Sorteberg and Councilman Reimann. Voting <br />no: None. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Citizen Lawrence Bowman, 9255 176th Avenue NW came before the Council <br />with concern about the discretion or lack of it used in issuing <br />burning permits in the City of Ramsey. He stated onMay 22 at 6:30 p.m. <br />the neighbor to the west called and told him there was a fire across <br />the fence from the neighbor next to his property. He asked if the <br />neighbor had a burning permit, yes he did. Mr~Bowmsn has many <br />pine trees and was very concerned about the burning permit issuance. <br />He called Clayton Berg to inquire if there was any inspection prior <br />to issuance. Mr. Berg stated not at this time. Mr. Bowman suggested <br />that prior to issuance the neighbors are notified. <br /> <br />Mayor Games stated the City of Ramsey issued lO-15 burning permits <br />per day at times and cannot inspect all properties. He further <br />stated the City gets notice from the DNR for regulations. He <br />suggested Mr. Bowman write a letter to Carlos Avery and state concerns. <br />Mayor Gamec suggested the City designate areas for non-burning in <br />recodification ordinance. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwoman VamWagner and seconded by Councilmen Sorteberg <br />to approve agenda with additions. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
