FACILITY PERMIT APPLICA.TION CONTENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The following outline identifies generally what the Council would <br />like to see in solid and hazardous waste permit applications <br />submitted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 473. The Council does have <br />the authority to require any and all information it deems necessary. <br />The scope of information submitted depends on the type of facility, <br />its capacity, public financial commitments, etc. <br /> <br />Supply <br /> <br />1. A map defining the Metropolitan <br /> <br /> Area communities within and <br />contiguous to the proposed solid or hazardous waste supply area. <br /> <br />Present and projected solid waste generation rates in each <br />Metropolitan Area community within and contiguous to the solid <br />waste supply area, including seasonable variations. <br /> <br />Anticipated supply (tons per day) of solid or hazardous waste <br />delivered to the facility from within the proposed supply area. <br /> <br />A description of existing collection services in the proposed <br />supply area and contiguous communities and the anticipated impact <br />on these services of the proposed facility. <br /> <br />A detailing of the composition of solid or hazardous waste to be <br />delivered to the facility. <br /> <br />An analyses of the potential impact of waste reduction and source <br />separation practices on the quantity and composition of solid <br />waste in the supply area. <br /> <br />The source and availability of additional volumes of solid waste <br />or energy to compensate for changes in the volume and composition <br />of solid waste from the proposed supply area. <br /> <br />Alternate waste management services available to solid or <br />hazardous waste generators and haulers serving the proposed <br />supply area and contiguous communities, including remaining <br />capacity, location and distance from supply area. <br /> <br />Capacity <br /> <br />Anticipated life and design capacity. <br /> <br />Daily processing capacity for residential, commercial and <br />industrial solid wastes, as well as tree wastes, hazardous waste, <br />demolition waste, or other wastes as proposed by the applicant. <br /> <br />Proposed storage capacity on-site or off-site for solid or <br />hazardous waste and recovered products.. <br /> <br /> <br />
