Councilmember moved for the adoption of the following findings of fact: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-03-__ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION COMblISSIONING FURTHER STUDY OF TItE RURAL <br />DEVELOPING AREA AND CLUSTER ORDINANCE WITHIN TIlE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY. ANOIC~- COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS, on April 4, 2005, Ordinance #05-03 beoan~e~ eff~dti-~e requinng the <br />clustering of residential subdivisions: and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. in the course of implementing the duster ordinance, the City Council has <br />identified sections that deserve additional review and modification; and: . <br /> WHEREAS. on February 21, 2006. the City Council met_at a~ .worksession. and <br />determined that more study of the cluster ordinance was necessary/n th~ following areas: density <br />transitiordng standards, open space provismns, the calculation of density, and specific septic <br />system submittal requirements. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE~'D BY~TItE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE O'F MINNESgTA- as follows: <br /> <br /> The City Council hereb~ directs lis City Staff to brin d possible amendments to <br /> City Code that will allow for developmenf within theRural Developing Area while m the same <br /> time preserving such land for possible fumi-e development'with urban services and addressing <br /> issues such as denS~ty~'Frkusitioning and open space provisions under consideration. The study <br /> process shall inct_ude an eIement of public out~each,.:~ncluding ample public meetings and work <br /> sessions in 6rder to provide ~itizens with aCCUrati 'Md timely information regarding possible <br /> amendmenr-~:to the development regulation/s' in"the Rural Developing Area. The City <br /> Admirff. strat& is also authorized to obtain such Planning Consultants as necessary in order to <br /> study the Rural.
