November 6, 1984 <br /> <br />City of Ramsey <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />Ramsey, M~N 55303 <br /> <br />Attn: Lloyd Schnelle, City Administrator <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Schnelle: <br /> <br />The purpose of this letter is to put you on Notice pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statute Section 466.05, that my client, James Perfelto, on behalf of his <br />minor son, Joseph, was injured on property that may havebeen owned by <br />the City of Ramsey on August 23, 1984, as a result of the negligence of <br />the agents and employees of said City. <br /> <br />The occurancewhich Joseph Perfelto~rds injured took place at or near the <br />east/west center line of Section 7, Township 32, Range 25, County of Anoka, <br />approximately 100 feet West of the North/South center line of the same <br />said section. That the said occur~nce is on or North of the Erwin's and <br />Doris Specht properties described as Northeast Quarter of the Southwest <br />Quarter of Section 7, Township 32, Range 25, a/id South of the Henry C. <br />and Kar~ J. Stahlmanpropertywhich is just North of the Specht property. <br />The injury resulted whenJoseph Perfelto fell from a swing whichwas constructed <br />a substantial distance off the ground and when the minor child f~]], sustained <br />serious personal injury. That the plaintiff's claim is based upon the <br />City negligently allowing such a hazardous swing to exist on the property; <br /> in that it also was an attractive nuisance to chi]dren, including Joseph, <br />who p]ayed in the neighborhood. <br /> <br /> The Perfelto's claim03mpensation in the amount in excess of $25,000.00 <br /> for the personal injuries resulting from the negligence of the City of <br /> Ramsey in the event the property is City property. <br /> <br /> <br />
